TPO Roofing Inspection — 12,000 m² Warehouse
MikeRoberto, we're inspecting the TPO membrane installation on this 12,000 sqm warehouse roof. Two critical checks: seam integrity by probe test, and flashing details at all penetrations. All TPO seams are hot-air welded. I'll test every linear meter with a blunt probe — if the probe slides into a seam, it's not fused and we fail that section.

MikeSeam WP-17 to WP-18: probe test clear, seam is solid. WP-25: probe slides in at 2.3 meters from the start — approximately 150mm of unfused seam. This needs hot-air re-welding and re-inspection. Now the pipe penetration at location P-8 — the TPO boot is properly welded to the field membrane, good. But this corner flashing at the parapet has a wrinkle that creates a water trap — re-do this piece. Overall, 3 defects in 12,000 sqm — that's a 99.7% pass rate. Fix these three and you're good.
